Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the the primary PMO for a leading bank in Virginia! This offers an exciting opportunity to manage enterprise-wide projects while collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in project management frameworks such as waterfall and agile.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a successful implementation of a large ERP system, to include a general ledger conversion; ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with internal controls.
- Manage cross-functional teams across departments, fostering collaboration and maintaining clear communication with executive stakeholders.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee financial system integration, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and GAAP standards.
- Facilitate meetings to drive team participation and collaboration, ensuring alignment on project objectives.
- Identify and address critical issues that may impact project progress or execution, maintaining focus on key priorities.
- Provide analytical support and guidance across concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success and long-term partnerships.
- Ensure all solutions meet audit requirements and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Utilize advanced tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project to create documentation and reports. Requirements
- Extensive experience with implementation and financial systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger structures.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional team management and stakeholder engagement.
- Advanced project management skills, including prioritization, scheduling, and documentation.
- Familiarity with waterfall and agile project management frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating creativity, initiative, and intellectual curiosity.
