Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work™ ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics (AFFL), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is managing the ROME contract for NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. The ROME contract (Repairs, Operations and Maintenance Engineering) provides both Construction services as well as Operations and Maintenance services at two locations, Greenbelt, MD and Wallops Island in Virginia's eastern shore. ASRC is seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist at the Wallops facility.
Manage all task order projects:
- Facilitate task orders issued by the Government.
- Performs day-to-day implementation of the QCP at WFF
- Updates QC-related procedures, as necessary
- Performs quality inspections and reports to customer.
- Collects and distributes feedback to the PM for corrective actions.
- Ensures AFFL and subcontractor adherence to QCP related procedures.
- Ensures expected levels of quality inspections are implemented in their respective shops.
- Verifies implementation of corrective actions
- Administers integration of QA and QC activities, ad-hoc inspections, reporting and recordkeeping
- Control of documents, as required.
- Administers and tracks contract changes, deviations, and amendments
- Provides quality oversight in construction projects
- Coordinate contractors and on-site tradesman and assure all documentation and work procedures comply to NASA mandates and specifications.
- Communicate with system owners, building managers, occupants, and request system outages.
- Maintain control of the task order budget and oversee project expenditures.
- Participate in the weekly performance meetings with upper management Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a related or applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
