Job Description

Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Manager 1 will manage small to medium capital projects supporting refueling, forced outages, and online maintenance, leading teams and overseeing project execution from planning through completion. This role ensures work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards while managing budgets, contracts, and stakeholder coordination. The position requires strong project management expertise, including scheduling, cost control, and process improvement. Qualified candidates bring experience in complex outage or online work environments within commercial nuclear power plants. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate:
$47.79 - $82.75

Manage small to medium capital projects supporting refueling outages, forced outages, and online maintenance Plan, schedule, and control project activities with minimal oversight Lead and direct project teams of 5-10 personnel Establish priorities and maintain visibility across all project phases Oversee project execution including budgets, work packages, procurement, and resource loading Ensure work is completed safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget Identify and resolve schedule delays, conflicts, and execution issues Develop and track project budgets and cost performance Coordinate with project controls, finance, engineers, vendors, and management Develop and manage contracts and vendor relationships Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and senior leadership Monitor project management processes and recommend improvements Maintain knowledge of industry trends and new technologies Develop long-range project strategies and plans Support outage activities, including OCC Support corrective action and self-assessment program implementation
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field and 14 years of technical experience;
OR AA/AS
degree and 16 years; OR high school diploma/GED and 18 years; advanced degree may substitute for 2 years PMP or project management certification required Commercial nuclear power plant experience Experience managing complex projects, outage activities, or online work management Experience supporting refueling outages and forced outages Proficiency in all aspects of project management Apply error reduction and human performance improvement methods Apply cost-effective work execution methodologies Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls Develop and execute project schedules and resource plans Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders Support nuclear and industrial safety and ALARA planning Analyze project performance and implement process improvements Communicate effectively with technical teams and senior leadership Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
