Job Description

Senior Project Manager (Commercial/Industrial Construction)I'm partnering with a well-established commercial/industrial general contractor seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What You'll Do:
Oversee full project lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and quality executionLead pre-construction efforts, bid preparation, and proposal deliveryRun project kickoffs, secure permits, and coordinate inspections with governing authoritiesEnsure subcontractor contracts are executed (target: 90% within 30 days of owner contract)Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teamsManage schedules, weekly reporting, cost projections, and invoice approvalsIssue and track RFIs, RFPs, and change ordersConduct regular site visits to ensure progress, safety, and quality standards are metResolve project issues proactively and escalate when neededLead and mentor Project Managers and field teams; support performance management and trainingAssist with client presentations and help identify new business opportunities
What They're Looking For:
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field7-10+ years managing commercial/industrial construction projectsStrong experience with drawings, specs, budgeting, scheduling, and contract managementProven ability to manage multiple projects and drive performanceKnowledge of building codes, safety standards, and inspection requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Viewpoint Vista is a plus)OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain), plus additional safety certifications within the first yearStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel as needed with a valid driver's licenseThis is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and takes ownership of delivering top-tier construction projects.
