Job Description

Turriff Plumbing & Heating is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations & Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial and residential plumbing projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position serves as a key operational partner to the General Manager and supports estimating, material takeoffs, purchasing, scheduling, dispatching, project administration, job costing, invoicing support, and project closeouts. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
What You'll Do:
Estimating & Pre-Construction:
Assist with project estimating and bid preparation; perform material takeoffs from plans and specifications
Estimating & Pre-Construction:
Review drawings, addenda, and bid documents for scope requirements
Estimating & Pre-Construction:
Solicit and coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing
Estimating & Pre-Construction:
Help maintain estimating databases, pricing, and historical job cost information
Purchasing & Procurement:
Coordinate material purchasing for awarded projects; issue and track purchase orders
Purchasing & Procurement:
Verify lead times and ensure timely delivery of materials to jobsites
Purchasing & Procurement:
Work with field supervisors to identify material needs and shortages
Project Coordination:
Support day-to-day project management activities; coordinate project schedules
Project Coordination:
Track project progress, RFIs, submittals, and change orders; maintain organized project files
Project Coordination:
Assist with labor tracking, job costing, and budget monitoring
Service Dispatching:
Coordinate daily service scheduling and dispatching of technicians
Service Dispatching:
Prioritize service calls based on urgency, customer commitments, and technician availability
Administrative:
Answer and route customer inquiries; maintain project and customer records
Administrative:
Assist with billing support and accounts receivable follow-up
Project Closeouts:
Coordinate closeout documentation including warranties, O&M manuals, as-builts
Project Closeouts:
Assist with final billing and ensure punch list items are completed

Required Qualifications:
Experience in plumbing, mechanical contracting, construction management, or related field required Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and construction practices preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Experience with estimating, dispatching, or project management software is a plus Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
