Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager specializing in Commercial Flooring to join our dynamic construction management team. The Junior Project Manager supports Project Managers in the successful execution of commercial flooring projects from project turnover through closeout. The role develops future PM's through hands-on experience in planning, scheduling, procurement, customer communications, project documentation, and field coordination. The position works closely with the PM's, the Site Leads, warehouse personnel, installers, vendors, and General Contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the company's quality standards. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, coordination, and project closeout. Coordinate with General Contractors, Site Leads, vendors, warehouse personnel, installers, and subcontractors. Monitor schedules, identify conflicts, and communicated project risks early. Track material procurement, deliveries, backorders, and jobsite readiness. Prepare RFI's, submittals, change orders, meeting notes, and maintain project documentation. Participate in kickoff meetings, site visits, quality reviews, and punch list completion. Support billing documentation and project closeouts. Build strong customer relationships through professional communication. Develop knowledge of commercial flooring products, installation methods, and manufacturer requirements. Perform other duties supporting successful project execution. Requirements Construction experience (commercial) preferred; commercial flooring experience is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accountability. Ability to read construction drawings or willingness to learn. Microsoft Office proficiency, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and project software are a plus. Self-motivated, dependable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective project coordination among teams, clients, and vendors. Valid Driver's License (will need to present at interview) and reliable transportation.
