Job Description

Project Manager - General Contractor Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in recruiting top performers in the construction industry. We are working with a well-established General Contractor in the Weirton, WV area that has an immediate need for a seasoned Project Manager . Successful candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Project Manager working with Commercial, Institutional, and Government construction projects. This position works projects from award to closeout. In general, they work large longer term projects with a high level of sophistication. This position also gives you the opportunity to work remote if desired. Little travel is required since most work is within a reasonable commute. Job Requirements will include, but are not limited to: Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects Prepare and manage schedules Estimate change orders Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs Manage project budgets and approves all expenses Contract Administration Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment Interface with the owner on all projects assigned Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with Superintendents and the owner's representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work Job Requirements Solid Communication both verbal and written Ability to establish timelines and budgets Experience in cost estimation and negotiating Ability to multi-task Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must 4+ years experience as a General Contractor Project Manager with large project exposure Bachelor degree is preferred but not required - Candidates with a strong construction background will be strongly considered.
