A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Apartment Manager to join our property management team. In this role, you will support the overall operations of residential communities, ensuring exceptional tenant experiences and efficient property management. Your proactive approach will help maintain high occupancy rates, uphold compliance with housing regulations, and foster positive relationships with residents and vendors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills while contributing to vibrant, well-managed communities. Duties Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination Support lease or rental agreement management using property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in person to ensure outstanding customer service Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and recordkeeping for tenant files, contracts, and legal documents in compliance with Fair Housing regulations Collaborate with team members to resolve conflicts effectively and uphold landlord-tenant law standards Assist in budgeting processes, expense tracking, and financial reporting for the property Support property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management to ensure a safe and appealing environment Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, preferably within a property management company environment Strong knowledge of property leasing, and Fair Housing regulations Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and handle difficult situations professionally Demonstrated experience in legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law and lease agreements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily administrative functions Exceptional customer service skills with strong phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Valid office experience combined with a proactive attitude toward team management and facilities oversight Join us as an Assistant Apartment Manager and be part of a dedicated team committed to creating thriving communities through excellent service and effective property stewardship. $15.00 - $19.50 per hour
