Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Overview Commercial Property Manager & Controller Spike Lawrence Ventures | Chandler, Arizona $80,000 Base Salary + Up to $20,000 Annual Bonus $400/Month Healthcare Reimbursement Spike Lawrence Ventures is seeking an experienced, highly organized Commercial Property Manager & Controller to oversee the financial management, bookkeeping, and day-to-day property operations for our portfolio of commercial properties and affiliated businesses. This is a financially focused, hands-on position . We are looking for someone who is exceptionally strong in QuickBooks, Excel, reconciliations, rent rolls, multi-entity bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting , while also having the communication and relationship skills necessary to successfully manage tenants, vendors, accountants, and ownership. Key Responsibilities Manage the accounting and bookkeeping for multiple companies and commercial properties Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop Complete monthly bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities Maintain accurate commercial property rent rolls and tenant ledgers Review commercial leases and track rent, increases, CAM/NNN charges, deposits, renewals, expirations, and other lease obligations Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Enter bills, issue payments, record deposits, and ensure transactions are properly categorized Prepare and pay Arizona sales tax/TPT for multiple companies , ensuring all filings and payments are completed accurately and on time Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets for rent rolls, reconciliations, property expenses, financial tracking, and reporting Reconcile and properly account for intercompany transactions Assist with monthly financial statements, P&Ls, balance sheets, budgets, and ownership reporting Work closely with CPAs, accountants, banks, insurance providers, and outside financial professionals Communicate professionally with commercial tenants regarding rent, CAM charges, property concerns, lease requirements, and other matters Coordinate vendors, contractors, maintenance providers, and property services Track important deadlines including property taxes, insurance, licenses, leases, contracts, renewals, and other financial obligations Maintain highly organized records for each company and property Identify accounting discrepancies and independently research and resolve issues Provide ownership with accurate, timely financial information and assist with special projects as needed Qualifications We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background who also understands commercial property management.
The ideal candidate will have:
Extensive hands-on QuickBooks experience Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience managing and reconciling multiple companies, bank accounts, and credit cards Strong understanding of P&Ls, balance sheets, general ledgers, and account reconciliations Experience maintaining commercial rent rolls Ability to read and understand commercial leases and extract key financial information Strong AP/AR experience Experience preparing and paying sales tax/TPT Experience with multi-entity or intercompany accounting Commercial property management experience strongly preferred Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage numerous companies, accounts, properties, and deadlines simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional and relationship-oriented approach with tenants, vendors, employees, and ownership Compensation $80,000 annual base salary Performance bonus opportunity of up to $20,000 annually $400 per month healthcare reimbursement Who Will Succeed in This Position? This is not a traditional property management position . The successful candidate must be equally comfortable managing a tenant relationship and sitting down in QuickBooks to reconcile multiple accounts. We need someone who genuinely enjoys numbers, organization, accounting, problem-solving, and keeping multiple companies financially organized . You should be able to review a bank reconciliation, rent roll, P&L, tenant ledger, or Excel spreadsheet and recognize when something doesn't look right—and then have the skills and initiative to determine why. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
