Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager to oversee daily operations at our 55+ manufactured home community in Grass Valley, California . This role is ideal for a compassionate and organized professional who thrives in a residential setting and enjoys building strong relationships with senior residents. The Community Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of property management, resident satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Resident Relations & Community Engagement Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for senior residents. Respond promptly to resident inquiries, maintenance requests, and complaints with professionalism and empathy. Coordinate community events and resident programs that promote engagement, wellness, and a sense of belonging. Enforce community rules, policies, and lease agreements consistently and fairly. Property Management & Operations Oversee daily operations of the manufactured home community, including common area upkeep, curb appeal, and infrastructure maintenance. Manage vendor relationships, maintenance personnel, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective service. Conduct regular property inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and state housing regulations. Process residency documents for new and existing residents; applications, leases, violations, rent increase notices, etc. Financial Management Collect rents, utility payments, and other fees; issue notices as needed. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Monitor and manage occupancy rates, renewals, and home sales or transfers within the community. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate resident records and community documentation. Prepare reports for ownership or regional leadership on occupancy, income, expenses, and community performance. Support home sales, move-ins, and move-outs, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for new residents. Qualifications 2 + years property management experience (experience in manufactured housing or senior living strongly preferred). High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in business or property management a plus). Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Rent Manager, Yardi, ManageAmerica, or similar). Proficiency with office technology (computer, printer, scanner, check scanner, etc.) Proficiency with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office suite. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Ability to conduct property inspections, including moving throughout indoor and outdoor areas of the property to assess conditions and identify management/maintenance or safety concerns. Understanding of California housing regulations and fair housing laws. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
