Occidental Arts & Ecology Center Residential Internships at OAEC Occidental, CA Website OAEC@oaec.org Deadline is October 16, 2026 Posted September 1, 2026 The Occidental Arts & Ecology Center (OAEC) is hiring interns for 2027!! Each year, OAEC hires a cohort of enthusiastic interns to live and learn at our 80-acre research, demonstration, education, advocacy, and community-organizing center in West Sonoma County, CA. Interns focus in one of three departments - Program Administration, Garden, and Facilities - and have an opportunity to learn the day-to-day running of a thriving, land-based non-profit and intentional community. The 2027 cohort will begin working and living at OAEC in early February and end in mid-December. In exchange for a 24-hour work week, all interns are given a private, cozy place to live, community meals, and use of all OAEC facilities (hot tub, swimming pond, etc.). Interns receive a monthly stipend of $825 and are given generous vacation and sick leave. Interns may attend the various theater performances, small concerts, talks, and celebrations happening on site throughout the year. Interns take part in the life of the residential community and participate in community cooking rotations.
