El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center is a nonprofit organization in the Inland Empire devoted to empowering our communities to lead healthy lives & access to health care; safe, affordable housing; opportunities for education; and the leadership skills to eliminate disparities. El Sol NEC's mission is for community members to reach personal empowerment to move towards self-sufficiency and contribute to their community's well-being. The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, implementation, and oversight of community-based violence prevention programming at El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center. This position oversees the detailed logistics of program activities, including training sessions, youth leadership events, workshops, community dialogues, and other prevention activities. The Supervisor directly supervises Community Health Worker Violence Prevention Professionals (CHW-VPPs) and ensures that staff have the guidance, resources, schedules, and support necessary to effectively engage youth and community members. The position monitors program participation and activity data, ensures timely and accurate documentation, supports implementation of program deliverables, and works closely with the Program Manager, CHW-VPPs, youth leaders, community partners, and evaluation staff to ensure program activities are implemented consistently and effectively.

Minimum requirements:

2+ years of experience leading or implementing community-based programs, youth development programs, violence prevention initiatives, public health programs, or related community services with an Associate's degree in public health, social work, community development, education, human services, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Bilingual (Spanish/ English; speak and write) preferred. Must clear FBI/DOJ background check.

Qualifications:

At least 1-2+ years of experience overseeing and leading multiple programs, cultivating and providing staff supervision to cross-functional personnel, team leadership, coaching, or functional oversight preferred. Experience working with youth, Community Health Workers (CHWs), violence prevention programs, or community-based organizations preferred. Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple program activities, events, workshops, and training sessions. Experience supervising, coaching, or providing day-to-day guidance to frontline staff. Strong understanding of community-based outreach, youth engagement, violence prevention, and/or community health programming. Ability to develop and maintain detailed activity schedules, staffing assignments, event logistics, and implementation plans. Ability to review staff documentation and identify missing, inaccurate, or incomplete information and ensure timely correction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with databases, electronic documentation systems, and project management tools. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and address staff and program issues appropriately. Ability to perform tasks related to physical activity, including sitting, standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, moving, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
