A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Madden Estate Management is seeking a motivated, organized, and client-focused Estate Manager to support the daily operations of residential properties across Santa Barbara and Montecito. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in estate management, property management, and real estate. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds. Prior estate management experience is not required — we are committed to investing in the right individual and supporting their long-term growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of residential estates and rental properties Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, landscapers, housekeepers, and service providers Schedule and supervise maintenance, repairs, and property improvement projects Conduct routine property inspections and site visits to ensure quality standards are met Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners, tenants, and vendors Maintain accurate project records, invoices, and property documentation Identify and resolve property-related issues with a timely, solutions-oriented approach Assist with vendor sourcing, bid evaluation, and project planning
Qualifications:
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Sheets) Professional, dependable, and highly detail-oriented Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong follow-through Preferred (Not Required), California real estate license Background in residential property management, rentals, hospitality, or client services Experience in project coordination or vendor management
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required A background check will be required before hire
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with on-call availability as needed
