Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Residential Services Manager to lead and oversee the operations a long-term care facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care, maintain compliance with health regulations, and foster a positive environment for residents and staff alike. Responsible for managing the Residential Counselors and Lead Residential Counselors. May be responsible for management of other staff as needed 2. Recruits, hires, orients and trains qualified staff. 3. Supervises staff, ensures clear lines of responsibility, and monitors staff workloads and performance. 4. Implements and monitors personnel policies and procedures. Documents personnel incidents. Takes a pro-active approach to personnel issues. Keeps supervisor informed on the status of all personnel issues. 5. Ensures appropriate interaction between staff and clients. 6. Implements staff development plans, skills training, evaluations and terminations for staff. 7. Responsible for accurate monitoring and recording of staff vacations, leaves of absence, time cards and payroll documentation, and training. 8. Continually trains staff to improve the quality of the program. 9. Acts as Administrator in his/her absence, with the same responsibilities and acting in accordance to Title 22 regulations. Resident Services 1. Ensures there is an ongoing evaluation of every resident's health needs and that residents are referred to appropriate health care providers. 2. Ensures development and assists with implementation of appropriate treatment plan for each resident. Monitors residents' progress and provides outcome data as needed. 3. Implements components of the treatment plan through coordination with physicians, coordinators, families and other providers. Provides information to clinical and other staff. 4. Responsible for ensuring clients are assisted with self-administration of medications in accordance with Title 22 and other applicable regulations. This includes oversight and continued assessment of medication room policies and procedures, providing or arranging required staff training, and conducting or reviewing weekly medication audits. 5. Ensures residents receive needed first aid and emergency medical services. 6. Provides information to residents, families, other agencies and the community regarding health and mental health care issues including prevention, early detection and remedial care. Works collaboratively with other agencies to seek more cost effective and efficient services for residents, as required. 7. Communicates necessary resident information to Case Coordinators and other responsible parties including the Public Guardian's office. 8. Informs clients of their personal rights, responsibilities and grievance procedures. 9. Provides for the safety and guidance of residents with visual, auditory, or other physical challenges. 10. Arranges or provides transportation for residents to medical or dental appointments, available community programs, outings and activities. Facility Management and Maintenance 1. Maintains the facility in compliance with Title 22 and other regulatory standards including all local, state, and federal regulations. 2. Ensures safety compliance with
