A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

$57,900
  • $76,100 + eligible for an annual bonus opportunity of up to 10% paid quarterly based on property performance and achievement of establishment metrics, in addition to competitive monthly commissions.

Maintain strong resident relations, ensuring the residents are served well and satisfied with the community. Oversee the leasing of apartments and ensure that occupancy rates are maintained. Direct property operations and staff in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. Supervise maintenance staff to ensure work orders, building repairs, and corrective maintenance are being completed in a timely, correct manner. Oversee and manage rent collections and bank deposits. Pursue delinquent rents and evictions timely and aggressively. Supervise resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations. Work with Regional Director to develop, monitor and achieve annual budget objectives. Other duties as assigned. 2+ years management, leasing and/or sales experience preferred. 2+ years of customer service experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Yardi and RENTCafé experience preferred. Local market experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Computer skills:
Microsoft Work & Excel, knowledge of internet, e mail and social media as it pertains to marketing the property. Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people. Experience with marketing and leasing initiatives for new development preferred. Must be organized, detail oriented and have good time management skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, understanding that your scheduled workdays may vary according to staffing and property needs. Entrepreneurial mindset
