Job Description

Day Program Supervisor Hamden, CT 06517 $60,000 a year - Full-time $60,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Day Program Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations of one of our DSO programs for individuals on the Autism spectrum. This energetic leader will ensure that each individual receives engaging, personalized support while fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting all the individuals with a skills in program development, and experienced in supervising teams to deliver exceptional services that promote independence and well-being. Responsibilities 40 hr a week M-F Supervise daily program activities, ensuring they align with individual goals and program objectives. Supervise, lead, motivate, and support staff to deliver high-quality care and support tailored to each participant's needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate program plans that promote skill-building, community integration, and personal growth. Manage relationships with participants' families, caregivers, and community partners to coordinate services effectively. Oversee administrative tasks including documentation, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and DDS regulatory standards. Address behavioral health concerns proactively by implementing positive behavior support strategies and collaborating with behavioral specialists when needed. Write all IP and semi- annual reports and attend all requried meetings Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team members. Direct Care is also a requirement when staffing shortages occurr, as well as transportation Requirements Must be DDS Med Certified, Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services or a related field; and a minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity. Must have good oral and written skills. Proven management experience with autism spectrum or related setting, with a focus on program development and supervision. Knowledge in the use of Therap Strong background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Excellent relationship management skills to foster trust among families, staff, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs that promote independence and community participation. Experience with administrative tasks such as documentation, budgeting, and compliance management. Must have the ability to train staff in all aspects of the job. Must have good computer skills- knoweldge in Word, and excel Knowledge of behavioral health principles and best practices for supporting individuals with diverse needs.
