Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Property Manager to oversee an affordable senior living community designed for residents aged 55 and older. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations—including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Fair Housing laws—and fostering a welcoming environment for residents. Your leadership will ensure the community runs smoothly, maintains high occupancy rates, and provides exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives while demonstrating strong property management expertise. Duties Oversee all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations. Manage leasing processes, including property tours, application processing, and lease signing, with a focus on leasing available units. Ensure compliance with LIHTC, Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements through diligent recordkeeping and reporting. Handle legal administrative tasks such as managing lease agreements, and maintaining accurate data entry in Resman property management software Conduct regular property inspections to oversee maintenance needs, facilities management, and ensure a safe environment for residents. Resolve conflicts effectively using negotiation skills and conflict management techniques while maintaining positive relationships with residents and staff. Coordinate with maintenance teams to facilitate property upkeep and repairs using Resman Maintain excellent customer service standards through professional phone etiquette, personalized communication, and proactive engagement with residents. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles within affordable housing settings. Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Florida Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing regulations, and other housing related topics. Familiarity with property management software; experience with data entry, filing systems, and office administration is essential. Excellent conflict management skills coupled with negotiation abilities to handle resident concerns effectively. Prior experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is preferred. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and relationship-building capabilities.
