Residential Emergency Shelter Manager 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Pompano Beach, FL 33064 $65,000 a year - Full-time Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. 18 reviews $65,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a residential Emergency Shelter Services Manager who will provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for survivors of domestic violence. In this vital role and in partnership with shelter leadership, you will oversee daily shelter operations for the evening shift, coordinate program activities, and foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and community partners. This position requires the candidate to have scheduling flexibility as needed to support the team and meet the needs of this agency. May be required to be available and remain onsite to assist during emergencies and other critical times.

Emegency Shelter Services Director Days/Hours:
Saturday to Wednesday, 2:00pm-11:00pm
Job Duties:
Lead and supervise advocates and support staff by providing guidance, coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery. Provide daily oversight of residential services and operational activities. Collaborate with department Director and leadership team to support program goals. Develop and implement programs that support residents' behavioral health, social skills, and personal development goals. Monitor resident progress and address concerns through appropriate interventions in an empowerment based capacity. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies .
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 3 -5 years experience in residential services, domestic violence services, or a related human services field. 2 or more years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced or crisis driven environment with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment. Solid administrative skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, case management, record keeping, and managing grant deliverables and reporting. Compassionate understanding of social work principles combined with a proactive approach to crisis intervention. Strong background or knowledge of working with survivors of domestic violence. Excellent relationship management skills to collaborate effectively with residents, staff, families, and community partners. Valid Florida driver's license. Safe driving record. Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance. Additional requirements : Employee will be required to take the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Core Competency training and obtain a passing grade of 75% or higher. If selected, candidate will be required to undergo a Department of Children and Families (DCF)Level II background screening - https://info.flclearinghouse.com

$65,000.00 per year
