This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the intersection of property management and financial analysis. The successful candidate will support the Property Management team in overseeing the daily operations of our commercial real estate portfolio, while taking ownership of core accounting and financial reporting functions. Candidate MUST have experience in Industrial Properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Management Support Assist with day-to-day property operations, including tenant correspondence, service requests, and lease administration. Review new leases and renewals in Yardi ensuring accuracy Lead with vendor communication and project management Track project costs confirming accuracy of project budgets Perform construction draws and assist with project funding requests Negotiate Vendor contracts Maintain project schedules to ensure timely and on-budget completion Support implementation of property operations processes and procedures Accounting & Financial Responsibilities Assist with monthly financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare monthly accruals for property-level expenses. Run annual budgeting and CAM reconciliation process. Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budget, identifying key drivers and discrepancies. Process accounts payable (A/P) transactions, ensuring invoices are properly coded. Reporting & Analysis Collaborate with accounting to ensure data accuracy in property management systems. Assist with special projects, audits, and other financial analysis requests.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. 6+ years of experience in property management, real estate accounting, or related industry preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and accrual accounting. Experience with property management software (Yardi or similar) strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems required. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
