Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive living environment for residents while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a thorough understanding of property management practices. Responsibilities Manage the leasing process, including marketing available units and conducting property tours for prospective tenants. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law. Oversee tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property maintenance requests using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. Coordinate property maintenance activities and ensure that facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with Section 8 requirements. Develop and implement community engagement initiatives to foster a sense of belonging among residents. Prepare reports on occupancy rates, leasing activity, and maintenance issues for upper management review. Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining organized office records. Skills Strong leadership skills. Experience in collections and housing/ voucher programs. Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Experience with property management software (Yardi, OneSite) is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on conflict management and relationship building. Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and contracts. Ability to upsell community features or services to potential tenants effectively. Familiarity with facilities management principles and practices. Prior experience in real estate administration or legal administrative roles is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping. Effective phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and vendors alike.
