Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Property Manager Assistant to support our property management team in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. This vital role involves assisting with lease management, tenant relations, property maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth property operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and possess a passion for customer service. Responsibilities Assist in managing lease or rental agreements, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and company standards Support property leasing activities by scheduling showings, processing applications, and communicating with prospective tenants Coordinate property maintenance requests and liaise with vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, contracts, and property documents using property management tools such as Yardi or OneSite Help oversee compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant laws, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other relevant legal requirements Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries via phone or email with professionalism and courtesy Assist in budgeting, rent collection, and financial reporting activities to support property financial health Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and escalating issues when necessary Skills Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar tools Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs Experience with lease or rental agreement management and property leasing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and written correspondence Familiarity with property maintenance procedures, facilities management, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools Ability to manage conflict professionally while maintaining positive client relationships Skilled in data entry, filing systems, budgeting, and contract management Office experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential Demonstrated team management capabilities and experience working within a property management company environment Strong negotiation skills for lease renewals or contract discussions Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field is often preferred) Valid driver's license required.
