This role is ideal for a proven property-management professional who thrives in a single-person office environment , is comfortable operating independently, and has strong working knowledge of Yardi . The Community Manager serves as the primary onsite representative for the community, overseeing day-to-day operations for 123 unique loft homes across the following buildings: Cambridge Arms, Nabisco Building, Owen Block, Maybelle-Montrose, The Audubon, and Washington Court. You will work alongside one onsite maintenance professional and manage all administrative, leasing, resident, and financial functions of the property. This position requires accountability, organization, and the ability to manage priorities without daily supervision. Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Resident Relations Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents Conduct tours, process applications, execute leases, and manage renewals Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional and timely manner Enforce lease terms and community policies consistently and fairly Property Operations Oversee daily operations for all six buildings Coordinate work orders, preventative maintenance, and vendor services with onsite maintenance and third-party contractors Perform regular property walks to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies Financial & Administrative Management Daily use of Yardi required for rent posting, resident ledgers, reporting, and account management Process invoices, code expenses accurately, and submit for approval Monitor rent collections, manage delinquencies, and follow established collection procedures Maintain organized records and provide required reporting in a timely manner Marketing & Community Engagement Market available units through ILS platforms, social media, and local outreach Maintain accurate online listings and pricing Coordinate resident communication and occasional engagement initiatives to support retention Qualifications Prior experience as a Community Manager or Property Manager required Strong proficiency in Yardi (daily operational use expected) Proven ability to manage a property independently in a single-person office setting Experience with invoice entry, rent collections, and delinquency management Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Professional communication skills, both written and verbal High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership Appreciation for or experience with historic properties is a plus Why Evansville Lofts?
