Summary:
Responsible for the following: Work with prospective residents and assist in leasing efforts Maintain and control confidential files and records Maintain waiting list for housing and determine applicant eligibility Prepare initial eligibility documentation, rent calculation, and lease documentation. Verify income, assets, medical or unusual expenses Assist with annual recertifications, as well as computing any interim rent changes. Assist participants with all paperwork related to housing rental assistance Enters data in OneSite generating rent and utility allowance
Necessary Skills:
Ability to effectively address the needs of current and future residents in a friendly and professional manner Ability to handle a high volume of calls and email with timely responses Affordable housing compliance experience Clear written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong Office skills Honest communication with supervisor and main office accounting staff Knowledge of RealPage / OneSite, or similar management software
Fair Housing Law/Practices Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Specialized Experience:
Property Management experience: 2 years (Required)
LIHTC/HUD
experience: 2 years (Required)
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license and means of transportation
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and contractors Ability to thrive and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong sense of urgency and solid time management Honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality Solid work ethic
