Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a small portfolio of commercial assets. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational skills with hands-on accounting experience, particularly in accounts receivable and accounts payable. This role works closely with the Property Manager to ensure smooth financial operations, tenant satisfaction, and well-maintained properties. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Administration
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including tenant billing, rent collection, payment posting, and follow-up on delinquent accounts
- Process accounts payable, including coding invoices, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments
- Reconcile tenant ledgers and resolve billing discrepancies
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and budget preparation
- Support annual CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and operating expense estimates
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits Property Operations
- Assist in managing a small portfolio of commercial properties, serving as a point of contact for tenants and vendors
- Coordinate maintenance requests, service contracts, and vendor scheduling
- Conduct periodic property inspections and follow up on action items
- Track lease terms, critical dates, insurance certificates, and compliance requirements
- Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs, and lease administration Administrative & Organizational Support
- Maintain organized property files, lease documents, and vendor records
- Prepare correspondence, notices, and reports for tenants and ownership
- Support the Property Manager with special projects as needed
