Job Description
The primary purpose of this job position is to provide knowledge and skills generalized clerical and accounting duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining records of the nursing home resident's accounts, demographic information, billing, and petty cash account, while keeping all information confidential. The ideal candidate must have accounting/bookkeeping experience, accounts receivable experience is helpful but not required and finally be able to: Type and use other office equipment including computer and adding machine and receive some on-the-job training regarding proper handling of administrative matters according to established policies. Have a general knowledge of nursing home function and the ability to work well with the general public, residents and family members as well as facility staff. Display initiative and proper judgment in promoting favorable public relations as well as being sociable and courteous while representing the facility.
