May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

The minimum qualifications are one or more years experience in leading and occupancy functions, property management, or loan processing with HUD program guidelines. Knowledge of HUD policies and procedures governing subsidized elderly housing and recertification including experience working with the elderly, nonprofit, or the property management experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will enhance recertification process, inspections, and voucher rent coordination in a professional and courteous manner. Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area. With almost 20 years of development experience and over 1,700 residential units developed to date, Providence has taken over the property management functions of Christopher Homes, Inc. and is proud to add their 60-year history of excellence to our team managing over 2,400 senior affordable apartments. We focus on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities. A typical day in the life of a Recertification II working with seniors includes, but not limited to all resident recertification processing, paperwork, and inspections including irregular updates to tenant information as needed. This position also assists with various repair and replacement requisitions, move in and move out proceedings, voucher rent coordination, coordinate apartment inspections for recertification, maintain accurate and timely statistical records and reports pertaining to HUD, PCH, and to the residents.
