About the Role We are seeking an experienced Human Services Manager / Program Manager to lead our Community Supports (ILS & IHS) programs serving adults and transition-age individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism. This role oversees case management, staff supervision, and community-based service delivery to ensure high-quality, person-centered supports aligned with Massachusetts DDS standards. This is a full-time, exempt leadership position with 24/7 on-call rotation, ideal for candidates with experience in IDD services, residential programs, or community supports management. What You'll Do Program Management & Staff Leadership Supervise and coach Community Supports Specialists / Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Lead hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Ensure compliance with DDS regulations, ISP goals, and human services best practices Provide emergency coverage and participate in on-call leadership rotation Case Management & Individual Support Oversight Oversee Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and goal implementation Support individuals living independently (ILS) or with families (IHS) Coordinate medical, behavioral health, vocational, and community services Lead crisis response, behavioral support, and problem-solving Community-Based & Family Support Services Promote independent living skills, self-determination, and community integration Partner with families, guardians, DDS service coordinators, and providers Ensure safe, supportive, and stable home environments Compliance, QA & Program Operations Maintain compliance with DDS, DPPC, and state regulations Monitor documentation, incident reporting, and service delivery metrics Support quality assurance, audits, and program development initiatives What We're Looking For Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (preferred) 1+ year of supervisory or program management experience in: Developmental Disabilities (IDD/DD) Autism Services Mental Health or Community-Based Services Experience with DDS-funded programs, ILS, IHS, or residential services strongly preferred Core Skills Strong team leadership and staff supervision experience Background in case management and person-centered planning Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) Excellent communication, crisis management, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage field-based teams Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to travel locally (home visits, community settings) Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation Completion of required training and certifications Why this Role Matters As a Community Supports Manager , you will directly impact the lives of individuals with disabilities by ensuring access to high-quality, person-centered care that fosters independence, dignity, and full community participation.
