THINGS COMMUNITY SUPPORT SPECIALIST/DIAPER PROGRAM MANAGER
Diapers 'N Things is a PACE initiative offering families in Greater New Bedford a supplemental supply of diapers, wipes, children's clothing, and feminine products when available at scheduled distributions. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills: High School diploma or GED required Bilingual skills (Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole) preferred; ability to use translation tools as needed Ability to bring high energy and work independently Valid driver's license required with good driving record Proficiency in computer applications, including inventory management, social media, and spreadsheets Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain professional relationships with families Demonstrated commitment to supporting young families and connecting them with community resources Physical ability to climb stairs, stand, bend, walk throughout the day, and lift up to 40 lbs., including carrying diaper boxes up short flights of stairs Ability to pass CORI and DCF background checks. Candidate will be responsible for operating this existing initiative with the support of the program's supervisor and an already present core of volunteers. SALARY:
