Affordable Housing Property Manager

Applicants without this specialized background will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations and management of a residential property with a HAP contract. (leasing, Collections, ... )
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling and supervising contractors and On
  • Site Maintenance team.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety and cleanliness
  • Manage all Tenant Certifications, lease agreements, including tenant screening, lease negotiations, and renewals
  • Process HAP Payments, Collect rent payments, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants
  • Handle tenant move-ins and move-outs, including conducting inspections and returning security deposits
  • Ensure property is ready for MOR and NSPIRE inspections
Skills:
  • Knowledge of HUD regulations and compliance
  • Strong understanding of property maintenance practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in using Property Management softwares (Onesite, yardi , Etc...) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules
  • Excellent property management skills, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers
  • Experience in facilities management, including overseeing building systems, repairs, and renovations
  • Proficient in RealPage and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with tenants, colleagues, and contractors Please note that this job description is not exhaustive.
