May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, foster positive resident relationships, ensure compliance with all housing regulations, and drive community engagement. Your leadership will help create vibrant, welcoming environments where residents feel valued and supported. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents while managing a team of dedicated staff members. Responsibilities Lead the overall management of an affordable housing property, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional resident service. Develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize occupancy rates through effective property leasing, upselling, and client communication. Oversee lease or rental agreement management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards such as Landlord-Tenant Law, Fair Housing regulations, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements. Utilize property management tools like Yardi or OneSite, to maintain accurate records of rent collections, maintenance requests, and occupancy data. Manage property maintenance activities by coordinating repairs, facilities management, and ensuring property upkeep aligns with safety standards. Supervise team members by providing training in conflict management, customer service excellence, office procedures, and property management best practices. Handle legal administrative tasks including filing contracts, managing landlord-tenant disputes, and ensuring compliance with Section 8 regulations. Foster positive relationships with residents through excellent customer service, clear communication, and effective negotiation skills. Monitor budgets and financial reports to ensure operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality living environments. Conduct regular property inspections using property management tools to identify issues proactively and ensure adherence to all safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles within affordable housing communities. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, Section 8 programs, and related legal frameworks. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and client relationship management tools. Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction and conflict resolution. Experience managing lease or rental agreements accurately while adhering to legal standards. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and resolving resident concerns effectively.
