A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Property Manager Reports to: Area Director Company Overview For more than 50 years, DTN has been one of Michigan's leading property management, construction, development, and ownership companies of multifamily properties. DTN seeks to create and deliver unique experiences for those choosing a DTN home or apartment. Job Summary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, being the CEO at each property within your assigned portfolio. Lead the team in meeting property objectives to ensure satisfaction to our residents, team members, and owners. This includes hiring, training, and mentoring each team member under your leadership.
Primary responsibilities include:
Serve as a role model for the standards and behaviors consistent with the core values and culture of DTN Deliver exceptional service to prospects, residents, guests, and vendors at every interaction. Coordinate and direct activities of team members to achieve property goals Develop and manage annual property and capital budgets, ensuring financial performance Develop and manage annual property/capital budgets, ensuring financial performance Evaluate property advertising, marketing and social media campaigns to ensure they align with meeting property goals Maintain depth and knowledge of local market competition and macro market performance Maintain curb appeal and property pursuant to annual operating budget and capital plans
Core Candidate Qualities:
Track record in a leadership role 3+ years of experience in property management Financial acumen with experience managing to a P&L statement An eye for detail, ensuring our properties and team members consistently represent the brand Experience with or the ability to learn technology and operating software used at DTN communities including Yardi, Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point. Availability at night and on weekends at various times during the year Reliable transportation to get to work daily and to conduct daily job responsibilities
