Assistant Property Manager - Resident Experience (Multifamily) Do you get real satisfaction from helping residents and closing the loop quickly? We are hiring a Assistant Property Manager to support a portfolio of 216 owned multifamily apartments from our corporate office located in Royal Oak, Michigan . This is an in-office and field-based apartment operations role. This role owns the resident experience: renewals, lease compliance and enforcement, move-ins, move-outs, and day-to-day communication with community residents. If you are people-focused, organized, and comfortable handling resident concerns with professionalism and policy-based communication, this could be the right seat for you. What You'll Do Execute the apartment resident lifecycle end-to-end: move-ins, resident communications, renewals, and move-outs Follow up on AppFolio renewal notices and secure signed renewals within company guidelines Manage the Notice-to-Vacate (NTV) process, including intake, exit interviews, save conversations, and handoffs for post-move-out collections Respond to non-maintenance resident concerns within 24 hours, or escalate per policy Enforce lease and community policies consistently and professionally Issue lease violations/notices as required and document incidents/outcomes in AppFolio Complete move-in and move-out inspections with photos and notes Review tenant ledgers and delinquency/eviction activity weekly; coordinate updates as directed Monitor the AppFolio dashboard daily for resident messages, follow-ups, renewals/NTVs, notices, and compliance tasks Keep AppFolio documentation accurate and updated the same day Coordinate with leasing, maintenance, and leadership to ensure smooth resident handoffs Support in-person apartment tours as backup when needed Report weekly updates on renewals, NTVs, and other key metrics Who We're Looking For Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Genuinely likes people and comfortable working directly with apartment residents Strong communicator with calm conflict-resolution skills Comfortable enforcing lease/policy with confidence and professionalism Tech-friendly and disciplined about keeping AppFolio clean and current Fast follow-up habits and strong documentation discipline

Pay:
$50,000-$54,000 base pay + eligible for renewal commissions
