Job Description
We are looking for someone who has the experience and aptitude to manage a newer, smooth-running senior living apartment community at the Village at LaFranier Woods in Traverse City, MI. You'll need to be an accomplished multitasker, able to pre-empt issues before they become problems, and keep a team motivated and focused on service excellence. A good communicator, used to dealing with customers - ideally in the hospitality or events industry with 3+ years of strong customer service and/or senior housing experience. Experienced with leading others. Comfortable with marketing and leasing. Happy taking ownership of problems and finding ways to solve them. Positive, enthusiastic, and able to adapt to fast changing situations. Experience and confidence using MS Office and other basic IT equipment. Real Page/One-Site Housing Software a plus. Legally eligible to work in the US and at least 18 years old. As a Community Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of your senior housing community. You'll motivate your team to create a great working environment to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. You start the day with quick reviews from staff of current projects, to plan the day and make sure everyone's prepared for theirs. You walk the building inside and out to ensure everything is show-ready for tours that day. During your walk through you make notes of things that need to be taken care of by housekeeping or maintenance. Putting work orders in our Maintenance Facilities Software. Oversight of our office, housekeeping, activities, maintenance, grounds and food service programs and staff. With one eye always on the front door, you see residents, visitors and contractors coming in and out and knowing where or who they are visiting. You greet and perform tours for our guests when they visit to find out more about us, ending the tour with stating "I think you would love to live here with us". Because we think everyone should love to live here with us. You will make sure vacant apartments are clean and ready to be occupied. Our company has high standards to meet. You will be responsible to go through the process of eligibility with credit, previous landlord and criminal history reviews. Finally, after all the paperwork is done, you can greet your new residents and provide them with a key to their new home. There are other things such as billing, invoicing, payables, receivables, correspondences, outreach marketing, and making sure your staff and residents are satisfied and love living there.
