Position Summary The Assistant Property Manager plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our multifamily communities. This position supports all aspects of property operations, including leasing, compliance, resident relations, and financial management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of LIHTC compliance, exceptional customer service skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining a thriving residential community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Property Operations & Compliance
  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations of the community, ensuring adherence to LIHTC regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and company policies.
  • Utilize property management software (RealPage) for data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare reports related to occupancy, lease renewals, rent collection, and maintenance to support property goals.
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and compliance documentation as required. Leasing & Resident Relations
  • Support leasing efforts by conducting tours, processing applications, and assisting with lease signings.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
  • Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals to ensure a positive resident experience.
  • Help plan and participate in resident events and community engagement activities.
  • Foster strong resident relationships to support retention and satisfaction. Financial Administration
  • Accept, process, and record rental payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Support the Property Manager with monthly financial reporting, rent collection, and delinquency tracking.
  • Assist with budgeting, expense management, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure accuracy in all financial and administrative documentation. Maintenance Coordination
  • Enter and track maintenance work orders using the community's management system.
  • Communicate effectively with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of service requests.
  • Follow up with residents to confirm satisfaction after repairs or maintenance visits.
  • Participate in regular community inspections to maintain curb appeal and safety standards. Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administration, with a strong understanding of LIHTC programs.
  • Proficiency in Yardi, RealPage, or comparable property management software.
  • Solid knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Experience in facilities coordination or maintenance oversight preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Additional Requirements
