A Property Manager manages operations for an apartment building or complex. Recruits and screens tenants for apartments, collects rents and security deposits, responds to requests or complaints from tenants, supervises maintenance and repairs; oversees payment of bills, insurance, taxes and recordkeeping. Manages property and services on behalf of a community association, for properties such as condominiums or cooperatives. Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

MACO Management Co., Inc. is seeking a Property Manager to ensure all buildings and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The apartment manager's responsibilities include filling vacancies, responding to tenant complaints, collecting rent, managing apartment upkeep, and supervising maintenance staff. You should be organized and have excellent budgeting and interpersonal skills. You should understand landlord-tenant laws, have good communication skills, as well as strong team management skills.
Apartment Manager Responsibilities:
Advertising and showing vacant properties to prospective tenants. Processing applications, leases and rental rates. Establishing and enforcing property rules. Ensuring buildings and facilities are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Establishing maintenance and staff schedules. Hiring, training, and monitoring staff. Collecting or adjusting rent and security deposits, and keeping track of tenant accounts. Investigating complaints and resolving conflicts. Planning and overseeing renovations, maintenance, repairs, and services. Handling clerical and administrative tasks and filing. Handle evictions and process move-outs
Apartment Manager Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good budgeting and math skills. A working knowledge of tenant and employment laws. Excellent management, negotiation, and planning skills.
Computer literacy:
excel, power point, word. Prior experience as an apartment manager or in a similar role is preferred Available to work on weekends, if required Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required Education/Qualification High School Diploma or GED required; some college is preferred.
