May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

$55,000 - $60,000 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to lead leasing and property operations for a 55+ independent senior living apartment community in Independence, MO. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization and play a key role in building a high-quality residential experience for our client's residents. The Property Manager will be responsible for driving occupancy, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day property operations. This role requires a professional who is both resident-focused and operationally strong, with the ability to lead leasing efforts and oversee maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full leasing lifecycle, from inquiry to move-in Conduct professional on-site tours and community presentations Maintain timely and effective follow-up with prospective residents Process rental applications, screenings, and required documentation Oversee maintenance staff and coordinate daily maintenance operations Ensure timely entry, tracking, and follow-up of maintenance requests Address resident concerns and resolve service-related issues promptly and professionally Promote a positive living environment and resident satisfaction Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies Qualifications Proven sales and customer service experience 3+ years Prior leasing or property management experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance coordination and operational tasks Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards Experience with administrative or legal documentation related to property management is a plus Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills Highly organized, dependable, and service-oriented
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$55,000 - $60,000
