Collects fees or dues, responds to requests or complaints, supervises maintenance, oversees work done by contractors, and provides accounting of income and expenses. May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of property management, including compliance with Fair Housing regulations and experience with Section 8 & LIHTC properties. You will be responsible for ensuring tenant satisfaction, managing property maintenance, and maximizing occupancy rates through effective marketing strategies. Duties Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, tenant relations, and maintenance coordination. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws. Oversee the administration of Section 8 and LIHTC programs, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to guidelines. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants while upselling available units. Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services at competitive rates. Handle conflict management effectively, addressing tenant concerns in a timely manner to maintain positive relationships. Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure they meet safety standards and are well-maintained. Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and maintenance issues for upper management review. Experience Proven experience in property management or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Section 8, LIHTC, and facilities management practices. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage contracts effectively. Proficient in conflict management with a focus on maintaining tenant satisfaction. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with tenants, vendors, and staff. Experience in upselling properties or services is a plus.
