This position provides clinical oversight, staff supervision, and leadership support to help maintain a safe, structured, supportive, and therapeutically appropriate environment for residents and staff. The QP provides clinical guidance and therapeutic support for male youth ages 13-17 with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs within a Level III residential treatment setting. This role requires strong leadership skills, professionalism, emotional intelligence, flexibility, and the ability to maintain a calm, trauma-informed presence while building positive and supportive relationships with youth that foster trust, accountability, emotional regulation, and personal growth. The Clinical Program Supervisor/Qualified Professional also supports staff development, oversees clinical interventions, reinforces program expectations, and promotes positive youth engagement throughout the program. Primary Responsibilities Clinical & Program Oversight Provide clinical oversight and support to ensure residents receive consistent, trauma-informed care within the therapeutic environment. Participate in admission, discharge, and transition planning for all residents. Monitor client progress toward treatment goals and complete monthly progress reviews and required documentation. Ensure implementation of individualized service plans, behavioral support strategies, and therapeutic interventions. Provide oversight and support during crises, behavioral incidents, emergencies, or other significant events within the program. Oversee coordination of medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, educational, and community-based services to ensure continuity of care. Facilitate Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and maintain ongoing communication with families, guardians, DSS, DJJ, schools, therapists, and other service providers. Provide oversight and guidance regarding therapeutic programming, psychoeducational interventions, recreational activities, and social skill development. Staff Leadership & Supervision Provide supervision, guidance, and oversight to Associate Professionals and Direct Support Staff to ensure consistent implementation of program expectations and therapeutic interventions. Supervise residential staff and provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, support, and performance feedback. Monitor staff-client interactions to ensure professionalism, appropriate therapeutic boundaries, ethical practice, and trauma-informed care. Assist the Clinical and Operational Directors in ensuring staff are appropriately trained and compliant with agency policies, procedures, and licensing requirements. Conduct staff meetings and supervision sessions as assigned. Monitor staffing needs and collaborate with leadership to ensure adequate staff coverage and continuity of program operations. Operations & Compliance Support the Clinical and Operational Directors in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential facility. Spend sufficient time within the residential facility across all shifts to monitor operations, support staff development, model effective leadership, and maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with agency standards, Medicaid requirements, and North Carolina licensing regulations. Assist with incident response, documentation review, quality assurance activities, and implementation of corrective actions when necessary. Provide delegated clinical and operational leadership in the absence of the Clinical and Operational Directors. Additional Requirements Experience working with adolescents with behavioral, emotional, mental health, or trauma-related needs. Experience in residential treatment, group homes, juvenile services, child welfare, behavioral health, or educational settings preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, positive behavior support, and therapeutic crisis management. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and crisis-management skills. Strong clinical documentation and problem-solving abilities. Ability to model professionalism, emotional regulation, accountability, and ethical practice. Culturally responsive and able to work effectively with diverse populations. Valid North Carolina Driver's License and ability to pass a background check. Educational Requirements Master's degree in a human services field and one year of post-graduate mental health experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a human services field and two years of post-degree mental health experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a non-human services field and four years of post-degree mental health experience.
