This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage building systems, coordinate vendors, and ensure all properties are maintained to high operational and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in industrial buildings, apartments, and commercial spaces Handle basic plumbing repairs (leaks, fixture replacements, unclogging drains) Perform minor electrical work (outlet/switch replacement, light fixture installation, troubleshooting) General HVAC knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance Prepare surfaces and complete interior/exterior painting projects Diagnose maintenance issues and determine effective, cost-efficient solutions Travel to Brooklyn properties as needed to complete assigned work orders Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment Communicate clearly with supervisors, property managers, and tenants regarding repair needs and timelines Maintain loading docks, warehouse systems, and industrial infrastructure in Newark properties. Respond to after-hour emergencies if needed Tenant & Vendor Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant maintenance requests and building-related issues. Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors, ensuring quality work and adherence to scope, budget, and timelines. Assist with tenant improvements, build-outs, and turnover processes. Qualifications Proven experience as maintenance technician, or similar role Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair techniques Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently Skilled in painting, minor carpentry, and general upkeep tasks Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between Newark and Brooklyn Good time management and organizational skills Ability to lift and carry tools/materials and perform physical tasks Must be fluent in English and Spanish Experience working in Industrial and Residential properties Join us as a Property Superintendent where your expertise will keep our facilities running smoothly!
