Princeton, NJ About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Program Trainer to provide clinical leadership, staff development, and program oversight within our residential setting. This role plays a key part in designing, implementing, and evaluating individualized instructional and behavioral programs that align with professional and ethical standards. The Trainer collaborates closely with the Executive Director and an interdisciplinary team to support high-quality service delivery. This position also includes supervising staff, leading training sessions, evaluating performance, and promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate brings strong behavior-analytic expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting learners and families. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and collaborate with the Executive Director on program development and service delivery. Design and oversee individualized instructional and behavior intervention plans using data-driven methods. Supervise and train staff (family teachers and residential direct support staff), lead team meetings, and conduct performance evaluations. Create and maintain structured and organized learning environments within residential homes. Develop staff skills through coaching, modeling, and hands-on training. Ensure consistent implementation of intervention procedures and maintain compliance with professional and ethical guidelines. Review and analyze learner data to adjust programming and ensure effectiveness. Communicate regularly with families, incorporating their goals and values into programming. Participate in ISP meetings and ensure adherence to plans throughout the year. Maintain documentation required by state agencies and engage with regulatory bodies as needed. Support recruitment efforts by participating in candidate selection and evaluation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of ABA principles, data collection, and data analysis. High attention to detail and ability to interpret learner data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member in a residential environment. Skilled in staff supervision, leadership, and delivering constructive feedback. Ability to adapt to learner needs and respond to feedback. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Awareness of confidentiality requirements and ethical standards in residential care. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field required. Master's degree in psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field preferred. BCBA certification or equivalent preferred. 3-5 years of experience in behavior analysis, program development, and staff supervision. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license. Required background checks include fingerprinting, child abuse registry, exclusionary checks, and motor vehicle history. Must pass a 4-panel drug test at hire and participate in random testing. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and use of hands for office and program equipment. Work occurs in residential homes, community settings, and office environments. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on call as needed. Why Join Us?
