May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

Position Summary:
The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations (financial, tenant relations, maintenance, etc.) of a multi-unit property in the Buffalo area.
Responsibilities include:
Managing all aspects of property leasing, including marketing available units, conducting property showings, and processing rental applications. Overseeing property maintenance by coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks with on-site technicians, contractors and service providers. Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements related to property management. Handling tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a professional manner to maintain positive tenant relationships. Preparing and managing contracts related to leasing agreements and service providers. Maintaining accurate records of property operations, including financial reports, maintenance logs, and tenant communications. Collaborating with staff members to ensure efficient office and property operations related to property management.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of prior property management experience. Experience in leasing and maintaining rental agreements. Strong knowledge of property management administrative processes and practices. Financial literacy in order to understand budgets and manage property finances. Familiarity with administrative tasks related to property management, including contract negotiations. Excellent conflict management and customer service skills. Understanding of Fair Housing regulations to ensure compliance in all leasing activities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong sales and marketing skills with a proven track record of achieving leasing goals; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build a rapport with current and potential tenants. #IND123
