May also assist owners or a board of directors with regulatory compliance or compliance with community association rules. Manages the operation of commercial or residential properties. Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Property Manager to oversee the management and operation of multi-unit properties in the Buffalo area. This role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of landlord-tenant law, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Section 8, and fair housing regulations. Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of housing properties, ensuring compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other housing assistance programs. Coordinate tenant screening, leasing processes, rent collection, and property maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records using property management tools and platforms. Respond promptly to tenant concerns or emergencies. Prepare reports on occupancy rates, compliance status, and program outcomes for internal review and regulatory audits. Requirements At least 5 years of proven experience in property management within affordable housing settings. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and HUD guidelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with property management tools like OneSite is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills. Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations. Ability to manage high-risk populations effectively while maintaining compliance standards.
