Serving multiple communities, our mission is to create a nurturing environment that supports animal welfare, pet adoption, and community engagement. Overview This role is 3 days per week at $25 - $30 per hour based on experience. Weekend work is required when there are community events. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented and pet loving Community Affairs & Social Media Manager to elevate our outreach efforts across digital platforms and in personal via events and marketing programs. In this role, you will craft compelling content, manage social media campaigns, and foster meaningful relationships with our community. Your innovative approach will help raise awareness about animal welfare issues and promote our adoption program to a broad audience. Duties Develop and execute engaging social media content strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to increase community engagement and drive adoptions of shelter pets. Manage daily social media operations using tools to schedule posts, monitor activity, and analyze performance metrics. Create visually appealing graphics and videos to enhance content marketing efforts. Implement SEO best practices and keyword research techniques to optimize content for search engines and improve online visibility. Engage the local business community in adoption efforts. Lead creative outreach to local communities via event attendance and coordination. Skills Minimum 5 years of professional and proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing analytics. Expertise in SEO techniques, keyword research, web analytics (Google Analytics), and marketing online analytics. Positive and friendly attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop creative multimedia content tailored for social media channels. Enthusiasm for engaging local residents and businesses to advance pet adoption.
