Oversees the collection of rents and payment of bills, taxes and insurance for properties, and provides property owners with reports on finances and the status of properties. Directs leasing operations, or equipment and machinery rentals, for a company or business. Determines charges and prepares rental or lease agreements; supervises inventory, equipment maintenance and recordkeeping for leasing operations.

This role is responsible for resident billing, collections, cash application, account reconciliations, and receivables reporting across multiple communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily property management accounting, experience with Yardi and/or MRI , and the ability to collaborate effectively with property managers, residents, and accounting professionals to maintain accurate and timely receivables management. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounts receivable activities across a portfolio of multifamily properties. Oversee monthly rent billing and ensure accuracy of resident charges and account balances. Review and maintain resident ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitor delinquent accounts and implement effective collection and resolution strategies. Partner with property managers to resolve outstanding resident balances and payment disputes. Review daily payment activity and ensure timely and accurate cash application. Reconcile accounts receivable balances and investigate discrepancies. Prepare aging reports, collection summaries, and portfolio receivables analysis for management. Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts receivable and revenue recognition. Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing guidelines, and industry best practices. Respond to resident and property management inquiries regarding account activity and billing. Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reporting. Support audit requests and special projects as needed. Collaborate closely with Accounting and Property Management teams to support portfolio performance. Required Qualifications 2+ years of multifamily accounts receivable, resident accounting, or property accounting experience. Experience with rent billing, collections, cash applications, and account reconciliations. Proficiency with Yardi and/or MRI property management software . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Preferred Prior supervisory or leadership experience. Experience managing receivables for multiple properties or large portfolios. Knowledge of affordable housing, mixed-income housing, or multifamily operations. Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes.
