Description:
Christopher Community, Inc. (CCINC) seeks a full-time Assistant Property Manager to join its growing organization. CCINC is a not-for-profit development and management company that assist low- and moderate-income families and seniors to secure suitable housing across Upstate New York. Christopher Community currently manages over 3,000 units of housing in more than 100 buildings, and administers the Rental Assistance Program in Onondaga County, which provides assistance to over 1,200 households. Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Premiums Hiring Hourly Rate:
$21 to $25 per hour or equivalent to $38,220 to $45,500 yearly compensation.
Requirements:
Assist in receiving tenants and visitors during office hours. Makes referrals to appropriate staff members when needed. Process orders for maintenance staff. Perform clerical duties when needed (answering telephones; updating resident's files; ordering supplies; typing letters; general filing, etc). Responds to tenant concerns when necessary. Learning required computer and software procedures; assists in banking; tenant notifications. Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager or the Regional Supervisor. May be necessary to fill in for the Property Manager when that person is out of work for and extended absence. Complete additional training provided as required. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training in the property management field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write out routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, and small group situations to tenants, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
