Schedule:
10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, on-call 1 week per month
Position Summary:
The Affordable Housing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day business operations and the management of those policies, procedures and programs that will assure a well-managed, well-maintained community within the Affordable and Subsidized Senior Communities' portfolio. In addition, will ensure quality customer service, compliance with mandated regulatory programs, maintain operations budgets, environmental health and safety compliance and achieve cost efficiencies. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, guidance and support to Maintenance Technicians-Affordable to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and resident satisfaction. Process initial, annual and interim recertification to ensure residents are in compliance with HUD, Department of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) and all applicable regulators. Manage inquiries and applications of potential new residents in accordance with
HUD & DHCR
regulations. Minimize downtime of vacant units and maintain acceptable occupancy rates. Actively interact with residents/former residents to handle rules compliance and problems in a tactful and timely manner. Maintain open communication with residents. Act as a liaison between maintenance staff and residents as needed to ensure service issues are resolved. Provide a healthy and safe environment for residents. Ensure that processes related to resident's financial data are managed in a timely manner. Attend to general administration tasks as required to support the overall operation of the business. Coordinate special events/activities for residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Associates degree in Business and/or Social Service preferred. Two years experience in the Property Management and/or the Hospitality Industry preferred. Previous experience with senior population preferred. NYS Driver's License. Must possess strong customer service skills. Must be computer efficient.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
M•Medium Work•Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
NYS DL•valid New York State Driver's License•New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)
PAY RANGE
$20.00•$25.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
