Job Description

Rubies Women's Group Position Title House Manager Job Summary The House Manager is responsible for the daily operation, safety, and supervision of a residential home serving women. This position provides leadership, support, and oversight to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive living environment while promoting resident independence, personal growth, and compliance with program expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence. Supervise and support residents in achieving personal and program goals. Monitor resident behavior and ensure adherence to house rules and policies. Conduct intake and orientation for new residents. Maintain accurate resident records, incident reports, and documentation. Coordinate appointments, transportation, and community resources. Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution when needed. Ensure the home remains clean, safe, and compliant with agency standards. Manage household supplies and submit requests for needed items. Facilitate house meetings and encourage resident participation. Communicate effectively with staff, treatment providers, probation officers, and community partners as appropriate. Respond to emergencies and follow established safety procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. (Optional) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred. Experience working with women, individuals in recovery, mental health populations, or residential programs preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Basic computer skills and proficiency with documentation systems. Required Skills Leadership and team supervision Case management support Crisis intervention and de-escalation Conflict resolution Effective verbal and written communication Time management and organization Documentation and recordkeeping Problem-solving and decision-making Empathy and trauma-informed care Ability to work independently and as part of a team Employment Requirements Applicants must: Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a valid Ohio driver's license. Maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable under agency insurance guidelines. Successfully pass a BCI criminal background check . Successfully pass an FBI background check (if required by agency policy). Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening . Prefer Peer Recovery Certification Be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform the physical duties associated with residential supervision. Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts if needed. Preferred Characteristics Strong commitment to empowering women and supporting recovery and personal growth. Experience with trauma-informed care practices. Ability to build positive relationships with residents and community partners. Cultural sensitivity and professionalism in diverse environments.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
