Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., is a private non-profit agency, providing continuous service to the community since 1971. We provide services for youth, adults, and families struggling with substance abuse or addiction, mental health concerns, or problem gambling. Evidence-based services are provided in a trauma-informed environment by licensed professionals in order that individuals may achieve overall wellness and long-term recovery. Our mission is to promote lifelong recovery from addiction through education, prevention, and treatment regardless of ability to pay. plus $7500 annually Perfect position for someone looking to supplement their income and not have a mortgage/rent expense! Job Summary The Recovery House Manager position requires a detail-oriented individual with leadership skills and a passion for helping others recover from a substance use disorder. This role is a live-in professional with the responsibility of managing and coordinating the Recovery Residence. This includes duties related to administration, housekeeping, and daily living. This position works directly with residents in early recovery, providing structure and support to residents seeking to establish stable long-term recovery from a substance use disorder. The Recovery House Manager manages and coordinates daily housekeeping tasks, leading weekly "House Meetings," conducting inspections, and making arrangements for random drug testing. This position is also involved in supporting residents to develop recovery plans and teaching residents' skills needed to live in recovery. Candidates must also be able to effectively handle emergency/crisis situations as they arise. Duties & Responsibilities Manages the daily operations and activities of the recovery house and residents. Must be on premises every night (vacations and time off must be coordinated with supervisor). Provides assistance, mentors and supports to sustain resident's recovery. Coordinates referrals to community support resources as needed. Interacts with residents in a supportive manner, encouraging discussion and activities focused on recovery from addiction. Conducts orientation of new residents. Facilitates residents transitioning to other permanent housing as needed. Inspects belongings and conducts drug/alcohol screenings as needed. Conducts weekly house meetings and assures minutes are recorded. Assigns and monitors house duties and inspect premises daily. Communicates and assures resident compliance with all house rules and expectations, policies and procedures, including safety standards, chores, and routines. Ensures proper operation of the property, reporting and coordinating maintenance issues per agency policy. Maintains adequate inventory of all ancillary and common supplies, ordering per established procedures. Collects and submits weekly/monthly rent to Billing Specialist for deposit per established procedures. Participates in agency and/or staff meetings as requested. Maintains statistical data and other client and program information as required per agency Quality Improvement Policies and Procedures, Upholds professional ethics and client confidentiality, including knowledge of client rights and grievance procedures. May transport residents as necessary. Specific duties as assigned and documented by supervisor. Qualifications Must be able to live at the residence.• Must be active in a 12 Step or other personal program of recovery for a minimum of 1 year if applicable. Must be substance free at all times. Familiarity with 12-step program and recovery terminology & concepts. Ability to work as a team member in support of recovery house program for recovering, substance use disorder persons. Experience in residential setting preferred. Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and individual auto insurance.Two Openings:
