General Position Summary:
The Manager is responsible for the support, training, and coordination of activities of the residential personnel and management of daily operations and services, to serve people with diagnoses of severe and persistent mental illness. This position will identify and monitor program needs, create, plan, and implement training programs, processes, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs in their designated location sites. Reliable and regular attendance is imperative.
Knowledge:
Two (2) years' work experience in a position that included supervisory and training responsibilities. Preference to candidates with five (5) years' education in human services field. Must have current Oregon Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must be able to be approved by the background criminal history unit.
Skill & Effort:
Ongoing excellent verbal and written communication skills with stake holders inside and outside the organization. Extraordinary interpersonal communication skills and ability empathize with people experiencing challenges. Regular need to design and develop single program (work unit) functions and related processes and procedures. Ability to assess risk as well as to make determinations about tasks and deadlines. Thorough understanding of residential support services. Ability to monitor and prioritize needs. Responsible for the financial sustainability and budget of the program. Extremely organized and detail-oriented and understanding of professional ethics. Ability to quickly become proficient in all office technology required for the position to include; Office Machinery, MS Office programs, Dayforce, Office 365, Intellidoc.
Responsibility :
Ability to analyze problems or concepts and make decisions on the information, including organizational operations, programs, expense or budgetary outcomes. Expected to work under minimal supervision. Regularly contribute ideas and decisions or actions which commit to the organization. Ability to decipher outside established policy/procedure are expected to be referred to others for final action. Position requires refined planning and goal-setting skills. Plans must consider options and contingencies and must include methods for handling any difficulties encountered. Position is expected to participate in group activity and focus on the impact of the plan on others. Responsible for a full range of supervisory responsibilities, including providing daily work direction, hire, discipline and terminate employees, recommends pay adjustments, communicate performance appraisals, approve absences, and/or make employee job/assignment.

Working Conditions:
The work schedule is not regular and fluctuates to meet the needs of the organization. Responsible to report to varied shifts, such as Day, Swing, Noc. Typically, this position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 hours a week on site. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional exposure to temperature change, incident of noise, or interactions of a disagreeable nature. Minimal to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, up to the occasional 75 pounds. Physical capability involves use of office or equipment where some agility and hand eye coordination are needed. Duties and Responsibilities Employee Supports Manages and is responsible for ensuring employees within their teams are properly oriented, trained and are committed to/responsible for professional growth for themselves and others Assist your Program Manager to maintain a work environment that emphasizes teamwork, cooperation, and safety Provide motivation and feedback to staff using positive communication methods Demonstrate the ability and willingness to address conflict, to facilitate resolution, and to develop/model professional and positive relationships with staff Routinely monitor staff training, Incident Reports, RSP goals, or other support documents Fill in whenever necessary to ensure compliance with the staffing ratio and/or to continue to foster teamwork and mentor staff Maintains contact with and is responsible for supervision of all staff assigned to the work unit, by meeting with each employee face-to-face on a monthly basis Responsible for all performance management, including hiring, training, feedback, performance corrections and termination Maintain accurate and timely documentation pertaining to employee personnel records Conduct staff meetings at least once monthly Review staff timesheets for accuracy and submit within deadline Train, schedule and provide leadership to diverse staff to ensure that services for each person are delivered as defined in his/her Residential Service Plan Individual Supports Responsible for maintaining accurate financial accounts, records and benefits Monitor Intellidoc for each individual at a minimum of three times a week; IRs must be approved within the State's timeline Provides opportunities for individuals to learn about and engage in self-advocacy and community inclusion Ensures that the supports, health, safety, and rights of individuals served are provided in a person-centered manner Ability to develop and implement an RSP and ensure that all documentation is completed and goals are being met Ongoing collaboration with DSPs to ensure individuals attend medical and psychiatric appointments and necessary follow-up is completed General/Operational Act as primary contact for staff, 24 hours a day/5 days per week and participate in on-call weekend requirements Manage programs within agency approved budgets, including the supply budget, staffing hours, and overtime usage, etc. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with families, guardians, support staff and all other stakeholders Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the OARs, the agency's policies/procedures and our Mission Statement Participate in Licensing Reviews and Self-Assessments and work with Program Manager on the Plans of Improvement Interact with those we serve in a manner that demonstrates respect, enhances dignity, builds self-esteem, and empowers personal choice Routinely monitor all documentation and incident reports Ensure working/living environment is maintained and is clean/safe at all times Ensures that Occupational Injury Reports and 801 forms are completed and routed as required Forecasting departmental projections Maintains all required certifications and licenses throughout employment Attends and participates in required meetings and training Performs other duties as assigned Job Details Job Family Behavioral Health Residential Pay Type Salary Education Level High School Hiring Rate 57,000 USD Scan this QR code and apply!
