Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Apartment Manager to lead our residential community with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional resident experiences, and maintain the property's integrity. Your proactive approach will foster a welcoming environment, uphold compliance with housing regulations, and drive occupancy growth through effective leasing and customer service. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations to ensure smooth daily functioning. Oversee property leasing activities, including conducting tours, processing applications, and upselling available units to maximize occupancy. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal requirements. Maintain accurate data entry in property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite; handle contracts, legal documents, and filing with precision. Resolve conflicts effectively by employing strong conflict management skills; address resident concerns promptly and professionally. Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management tasks using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to uphold property standards. Foster positive customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette, personalized service, and proactive communication strategies. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, with a focus on LIHTC, Section 8, or similar affordable housing programs. Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures related to property leasing. Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; experience with data entry, filing systems, and office administration is essential. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective negotiation abilities for lease ups and contract discussions. Ability to handle conflict resolution tactfully while maintaining professionalism; experience in facilities management is a plus. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in contracts, legal documents, and compliance records. Strong communication skills including phone etiquette; ability to upsell units while ensuring compliance with all legal standards. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
